on a mysterious dark background.
This pattern is a smaller-scale version of Camellia Garden Chinoiserie Cathay Grande. Note that the background may appear darker on certain fabrics like Celosia Velvet. This 18th-century-inspired camellia pattern pays homage to Chinoiserie and Rococo. The flowers and foliage were photographed by me in my mother’s garden in mid-spring. I think you’ll agree it’s a perfect pattern for chateaux or pied-à-terre, manor house or cottage. I hope you enjoy it. My “La Traviata” collection is named for Giuseppe Verdi’s opera, which is based on Alexandre Dumas’ “La Dame aux camélias” (“The Lady of the Camellias”).
