Tons of frothy waves are in this crazy stormy sea! My illustrations are inspired by the work of Alphonse Mucha and the early work of Gustav Glimt, plus it has been very stormy in this part of the UK, so my husband's boat got held up coming back from the isle of wight (he works there one day a week!) When I was being whipped by the wind down by the water, the waves looked a bit like this, so the design was born from that storm. I wanted a design that felt free and fun, so I tried drawing exuberant, wavy hair and also made some of the waves look like a bathtub. If there was such a thing as an all female beach, maybe it would look a bit like this?? :) I was going to draw swimsuits, but I challenged myself to go in a new direction- maybe I'll do a clothed version soon....Hopefully people like it and celebrate the female form. I always mean to do something for International women's day, but this is a first for getting there!
