From the age of 7 weeks he worked at a bank.
This design was based on a painting that was commissioned by my sister as a present for her husband, a Houston banker. When Beau was 7 weeks old he began going to work daily with his master, as did his sister Gracie, who was my sister's dog. Beau also frequently went hunting with his master and loved the outdoors. The two golden retrievers were trained from an early age to work at the bank, greeting customers, and interacting with the tellers. They were also both officially trained as service dogs, so they could be as helpful as possible to clients. Not only was Beau a banking dog all of his life. So were his father, and his grandfather. All of them worked at the same bank, greeting customers, and providing companionship for their master. Though I had done portraits of people, this was my first painting of a dog, done in watercolor on Arches paper. You may view the painting here, where prints, note cards, etc. are available: https://pixels.com/featured/beau-mary-wykes.html On You Tube you can view a video of Beau's sister Gracie making cookie withdrawals at the bank: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bL2H7-Ivx-o This video of Gracie went viral when my sister put it online, and was viewed around the world. This small size of the print, set on a buffalo plaid in brown and a golden tan, would work well for a dog lover's bedroom - perhaps as a bedspread or curtains. It would also work well for an accent pillow, a shirt, a blouse or a skirt. _ _ _ _ _ If you would like this design in another size, just ask. I am happy to oblige.
