the Wrong Way - Go Back signs, on the freeway exi
When I first came to Australia, in 1973, I remember my whole family being thoroughly entertained by the Wrong Way - Go Back signs, on the freeway exits, facing away from the traffic leaving the freeway. They were for cars entering the freeway on the wrong side of the road. I still think that's funny, but I do believe that there is a call for those signs, having heard of at least one story of someone going the wrong way down a freeway! Australia has some doozies though, and I do try to collect them, photographically. These are all reproduced by hand, digitally, from photograps, not necessarily mine, but they are all real signs. Even the Don't Walk Backwards one! I haven't actually finished work on this, but I didn't want to miss the entry deadline, so I'm entering it now, and I hope I'll be able to upload a revision later! :) I just thought of one that I would have really loved to include, but I didn't get a photo of it at the time I saw it, and I missed seeing it on my way back, to Adelaide from Ceduna - it said (I can't remember the exact words) You are now not in any locality!
